This year we will be supporting Mental Health Awareness Week, running from 13 – 19 May. We will be using the week as an opportunity to build awareness of the benefits of physical activity on mental health and raise money for the Mental Health Foundation. One-day Free Fitness Pass

With this years theme being ‘movement’, we are encouraging people to move more for their mental health. Non-members can claim a one-day free pass any day from the 13 – 19 May. Simply sign up using the code ‘mentalhealth’.

Wear It Green Day – Thursday 16 May

On Thursday 16 May, we will be supporting the Mental Health Foundation’s ‘Wear It Green Day’. Dig out something green from your wardrobe and wear it to the centre for your workout. We will be taking donations for the Mental Health Foundation – anything you can give is greatly appreciated. Donation buckets will be available on the day or you can donate online.

SPONSORED CLASSES – Sunday 19 May

At Wymondham Leisure Centre, join us on Sunday 19 May for a sponsored Zumba Glow class in the Main Hall with Chloe. This fun class with disco lights will get your heart pumping and is bound to make you feel good. Book now for free. We will be taking donations to the Mental Health Foundation on the day.

At Long Stratton Leisure Centre there will be 3 classes also on SUnday 19 May, so why not join us and move more for your mental health?

  • Totally Shredded Fancy Dress – Join us for a fun fancy dress themed Totally Shredded Class.
  • Yoga and Meditation for your mental health – Come along to this relaxing class and learn techniques to help with your mental health.
  • Zumba Glow – A free and fun Zumba Glow class designed to get you moving.

We will also be welcoming donations for the Mental Health Foundation throughout the day here, too.

BOOK CLASSES

Tea & Talk – WEDNESDAY 15 mAY – Long Stratton Leisure Centre

Having a chat with a friend can be great for your mental health. Come down and join us for our Tea & Talk session on Wednesday 15 May from 10am to 12pm and have a natter over a free cup of tea. One of our Mental Health Champions, Claire, will also be on hand if you’d like to have a chat with her.

There will also be a bake sale so you can enjoy a delicious cake. We will be taking donations to the Mental Health Foundation – anything you can give is greatly appreciated.
