Why choose us?
Inspiring healthy lifestyles, providing first class facilities
South Norfolk Council, through its leisure services, empowers and inspires people to be happy, healthy, and active. Active means different things to different people, so the Council’s role in the community is much more than operating leisure centres.
We passionately support community groups, clubs and charities that organise activities of all descriptions. People come to us for inspiration on the activities that are available to them, across the district.
Our passion also drives us to launch new products and services within our communities to ensure that everyone can live healthy, active lives.
Our vision
For everyone in our communities to be as healthy and physically active as they can be.
Our purpose
To inspire and empower our communities to be happy, healthy and active.
Delivering Social Value
Social value is the positive impact an activity such as an exercise class or gym session has on the health and wellbeing of our residents. In 2024/25, we generated £4.2 million in social value through our five leisure centres. This includes £3.7 million in wellbeing benefits for individuals who stay active, and £504,000 in savings to public health services by helping prevent issues such as heart disease, stroke, and diabetes.
These results highlight the importance of continued investment in our leisure facilities, ensuring everyone can benefit from being active.
