Update – 21 August 2024

As you will have seen, the car park improvement works are well underway and progressing smoothly. We would like to thank you for your patience and understanding over the past few weeks whilst these works have been ongoing.

The works are scheduled to run for two more weeks, and we have received some further updates to make you aware of. As of today, there will be some further parking restrictions introduced whilst the tarmacking takes place, meaning the parking area in front of the school will be inaccessible to vehicles. Our team are currently looking at ways to maximise the available space to ensure we can accommodate as many cars as possible during this time and reduce the impact on our users.

The car park on the left as you enter the site remains open (indicated by the orange dashed line on the diagram below). Signage will also be put in place to indicate other suitable parking areas.

The pedestrian access route remains unaffected and we ask that you continue to enter the centre through the rear door. Due to the extremely limited parking, we also ask that users who are able to walk or cycle to the centre to please do so. Alternatively, if you are able to car share to reduce traffic on site this would also be greatly appreciated.

We thank you once again for your patience whilst these works take place.

———————————–

With the school holidays approaching, Framingham Earl High School have just informed us that they will be carrying out some resurfacing and car park improvement work outside the centre, starting Monday 22 July. This work will certainly improve the car park, however will likely cause some inconvenience in the meantime.

Our team are currently working with the school to confirm the finer details of the work. We do know that the car park will be closed in front of the building, leading to restricted parking for the next six weeks. During this period, we encourage you to walk or cycle to the centre when possible, or consider sharing with friends and family. Temporary parking locations are marked on the map below should you still need to drive to the centre.

Some changes have been made to the pedestrian access route to the centre. We kindly ask that for the duration of the works, you enter the site via the pedestrian gate located to the left of the main gates. This is because the footpath around the main car park is closed.

With this in mind, until 28 July, please follow the green line illustrated in the diagram below when entering and exiting the centre. This is to ensure all pedestrians can access the centre safely via footpaths.

From 29 July, works will be progressing, meaning there will be no access to the front of the building. Therefore, we kindly ask that you follow the route illustrated below, and enter/exit the building through the rear doors of the centre. Please continue to access the centre via this route until further notice.

Thank you for your patience during this time.
